The Old House and Grounds
The old wooden house was in pretty good condition really but the grounds were a tangled mess.
Tree Surgery
It all started with felling unwanted trees, clearing dense overgrown shrubs, brambles and weeds. Plus new fences and gates.
Rubbish Clearance
Broken glass and rusty scrap metal, such as water tanks, was everywhere – I filled four skips with the stuff!
Site Preparation
Clearing the brick and concrete bases for the greenhouses plus the numerous concrete paths that were buried over 30cm (1 foot) underground.
Drainage Construction
Construction of the new waste drainage system from the house to the new waste treatment plant.
Footings Construction
It’s time to dig the trenches for the footings under the double skinned external walls and single skinned internal walls.
Foundations and Floor Construction
Pouring the concrete footings was just the start of building the foundations and floors!
Brickwork and Blockwork
With the foundations and floors in place we can begin to build the brickwork and blockwork for ground floor structure.
First Floor Construction
First floor construction showing the joists, steel beams, lintels, floor boards and the walls and structures to support the ceilings and the roof.
